URLSessionFormat() Function

• When using session variables, if browser doesn’t support cookies, you are responsible for passing CFID and CFTOKEN on:

  • <A HREF=>
  • <FORM ACTION=>
  • <CFLOCATION URL=>
  • And more

• Can now have CF automatically determine if browser supports cookies.

  • If so, it will add SessionID info (CFID and CFTOKEN) to URL

• Example:

  <a href="#URLSessionFormat("MyActionPage.cfm?name=bob")#">
  

• If the detected cookie is not turned on, or cookie support cannot be reliably detected, the function return value is as follows:

  • myactionpage.cfm?name=bob&cfid=xxxx&cftoken=xxxxxxxx
